What denomination is Arise & Shine?

Arise & Shine is non-denominational. We take a non-denominational approach to all of our content because our heart is to make daily time with God accessible to every Christian woman — wherever you are and whatever your church background. Scripture stays at the center, and the app is here to support your walk with Jesus rather than any single tradition.

How does the gamified alarm work?

Instead of mindlessly tapping snooze, Arise & Shine gives you a gentle wake-up challenge — for example, holding a button while a progress ring fills. It takes only a few seconds, but it's just enough to help your body and mind actually wake up so you're less likely to drift back to sleep. Your morning verse greets you as you do it.

What Bible translations are available?

At launch, verses are drawn from public-domain translations such as the World English Bible (WEB) and the King James Version (KJV). We're actively working to add more translation options — let us know your favorite and we'll add it to the list.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Premium subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple, so you cancel right from your device:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
  3. Select Arise & Shine.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription.

You'll keep Premium features until the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again. See our Terms for details on auto-renewal.

Is there an Apple Watch version?

Not yet — we're launching on iPhone first to make that experience beautiful. An Apple Watch companion is on our roadmap. Join the waitlist and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.

Troubleshooting: my alarm didn't go off

A few quick things to check:

  • Notifications: ensure they're enabled in Settings → Notifications → Arise & Shine.
  • Focus / Do Not Disturb: make sure a Focus mode isn't silencing the app, or allow Arise & Shine in that Focus.
  • Volume & silent switch: turn your ringer volume up and check the side switch.
  • After a restart: open the app at least once after restarting your phone so alarms re-register.
  • Latest version: update to the newest version from the App Store.

How do I delete my account and my data?

You're always in control of your data. In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account to permanently remove your account and the personal data tied to it. Prefer we do it for you? Email [email protected] from your account address and we'll take care of it. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone — see our Privacy Policy for what we keep and for how long.

How do I restore my purchases?

If you reinstall the app or set up a new iPhone, open Settings inside Arise & Shine and tap Restore Purchases. Your Premium subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so it'll come right back — just make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.

What languages is the site available in?

This website is available in English, French, and Haitian Creole (Kreyòl) — use the language switcher at the top of the page. We're actively working on bringing more languages to the app itself; tell us your preferred language and we'll keep it in mind.

Is Arise & Shine free?

Yes. Arise & Shine is free to download and includes everything you need for a scripture-centered morning. An optional Premium subscription unlocks extra themes, focus-mode backgrounds, and more. You can use the free version for as long as you like.
